The Board of Education of Hamilton County School District No. 10 met in a special session on the evening of January 30, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., in the Unit Office.

            The meeting was called to order by Board President John Ewald and Roll Call was as follows:  Present – Danny Anselment, Steve Becker, Krystal Donelson, Tom Maulding, Rodney Rubenacker and John Ewald.  Randy Kirsch –absent.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Becker, second by Anselment to enter in to executive session at 7:02 p.m. to  conduct an expulsion hearing for a Jr. High School student due to a violation of the District’s discipline policy.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Becker, second by Maulding to come out of executive session at 7:51 p.m.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Maulding, Anselment, Donelson, Rubenacker and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Anselment, second by Rubenacker to approve the minutes from executive session.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Becker, second by Anselment to approve action for Disciplinary Violations by Student A as follows:  Recommendation to expel Student A for the remainder of the 2007-2008 school year for violations of Policy JD Item #9 of Grounds for Disciplinary Action.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes  Becker, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Rubenacker, second by Maulding to adjourn.  Vote was taken by voice, motion carried, and the meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
